The Beginning
1999 - 2001
Thai House Restaurant first opened its doors on Gheringhap Street, Geelong, introducing diners to authentic Thai and Lao cuisine.
From the very beginning, the restaurant was a family-run business, with a focus on fresh ingredients, traditional cooking, and welcoming customers like family.
Our original restaurant offered both Thai and Lao dishes, something that made Thai House distinctive within Geelong’s dining scene.

Growing with Geelong
2001 - 2022
As Thai House grew, so did its place within the Geelong Community.
We eventually moved to 22 Pakington Street, where Thai House operated for more than 20 years.
For two decades, the restaurant became a familiar place for generations of customers - from family dinners and business lunches to birthdays, weddings, celebrations and everyday meals.
This location marked an important chapter in the Thai House history, creating countless memories around the table.

A New Chapter
2026
After more than two decades on Pakington Street, Thai House entered a new chapter.
We relocated to Moorabool St, taking over the much-loved Lorm Thai Restaurant and bringing the Thai House name into a new home.
While our address changed, what matters most stayed the same - our love of Thai cuisine, our family values and our commitment to creating food that brings people together.
